Self-Empowement through Spirit

As our understanding of God is challenged by changes in our own beliefs, we must understand there is spiritual growth underlying the challenge for if you were not ready...the challenge would not have appeared. 

You may be saying to yourself, "The way I was raised to believe no longer serves me, God.  I don't understand where these new thoughts about You are coming from.  I certainly love You and believe in You, so how is this happening to me and why?"

God may answer, "You asked to see things anew, in a different way, didn't you?  The information you are receiving is challenging your conditioned thinking-mind...that's why you find yourself uncertain and afraid...yet you are still seeking for the Seeker Knows.  Fear originates from your conditioned mind, or small mind, for if you were residing with Me at the Temple of your Soul, where the Seeker resides, we would be seeing things, the world, through the Eyes of Love.  To put it simply, my dear child, you asked for this."

OK, so we find ourselves with our hands outstretched to the sky shouting, "HELP ME!", and we feel or hear nothing, or so it seems.  Confusion, irritation, unrest, ambiguity, and apathy conmingled with awe and wonder seems to be a constant in our lives.  "Are you helping me God or what?" 

"Yes, I AM.  Find Me in the confusion for I AM there.  Serve Me while irritated for I AM there.  Rest in ME for I AM there.  Find Me in all interpretations for I AM there.  Rediscover Me for I AM everywhere."

When we find ourselves in this place, we experience what St. John of the Cross termed Dark Night of the Soul.  It may be experienced for a moment, an hour, a day, an evening, a year or a lifetime; but during the experience of not feeling the Presence our small mind panics.  It dialogues with us constantly and has a tendency to wreak havoc on our lives.  Why, because we yearn for God...for Presence in our lives.  Not religious doctrine or greed, but Ayn Sof...The Endless One manifesting as endless light...infinite no-thingness...our very heart-beat and breath.

People come to spiritual counseling because they yearn for God.  We have an inner longing and hunger for a relationship with God in our lives. We want to know the meaning of life and enhance our sense of discernment so we can better understand the spiritual journey. We solicit intimacy with The Presence with every breath and thought. 

Please be aware that this yearning for God, Dark Night of the Soul, may not appear as a yearning. It may, indeed, be masked as one or all of the following personal issues:

•Tension, unrest, anxiety, insomnia, emotional distress, over indulgences,
nightmares and/or night terrors
• Poverty-Lack
• Loneliness
• Guilt
• Frustration
• Worry-Doubt
• Procrastination
• Lack of Confidence, Poor Self-Image
• Hate, Anger-Hostility, Revenge, Greed

 Matthew 7 clearly states: "Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need...don't you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better to you than you who are decent to your own children?"
